As a provider of quality canned fish to the Indian market, Indofish has a role in enriching people’s lives through responsible and sustainable management of our business and the environment. To ensure its products are of the very best quality, Indofish tracks the provenance of each fish it cans. The cannery has direct supply agreements with boats and vessels, allowing it to define and enforce detailed specifications to ensure better quality. We are fully committed to the conservation of marine resources and reject fish that do not meet minimum size requirements, or those caught using inappropriate fishing methods.
Our Code of Ethical Sourcing outlines a set of core values and principles by which we run our business. It includes our approach to safe and fair labour practices, and the responsible management of environmental and social issues in Indofish’s supply chain. A key part of the code is Indofish will not purchase from suppliers who have been prosecuted for illegal activities related to the trade of canned fish. The principle of continuous improvement applies to all aspects of our Code.
We work with manufacturing facilities in Thailand and Indonesia. To ensure we are able to provide the safest and highest quality and hygiene standards, all our products are only manufactured at world class production facilities. These facilities are accredited and audited to the ISO and BRC global standard as well as HACCP. INDOFISH founders are personally involved in the selection of these facilities, and continue to visit and check them periodically.
